We are an Area Catholic Community-wide Faith Formation Program serving public school children in Grades K-10 from the parishes of Newman Center, Holy Spirit, Saint Anthony, Saint Augustine, Saint John Cantius, and Saint Mary’s Cathedral. It also provides Sacramental preparation programming for all children in the parishes. Each year hundreds of children and youth take part in faith formation events with the help and support of parents, clergy, and many wonderful volunteers.

Registration for classes are open for the 2022-2023 school year, register here. There are a variety of formation formats to choose from, please see the website for more information. Watch the bulletin for exact schedules; schedules are also distributed at the beginning of the school year to families participating.

Sacramental Preparation – First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

In their 2nd grade year, students from both the Catholic schools and the public schools gather together to prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. The meetings, and the events themselves, are organized on a parish basis, but all events are open to anyone in the Area Catholic Community. First Reconciliation usually occurs in December and First Eucharist in April or May.

Sacramental Preparation – Confirmation

In Confirmation, the Cathedral students join us as we review faith formation in a new way, reflecting their increased maturity level. There are two options for Confirmation preparation. Beginning the 10th grade year, the students can take as long as they want to prepare for the sacrament. When the students have completed the requirements, they will be included in the next Confirmation group.
