SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMS - FIRST
RECONCILIATION AND FIRST EUCHARIST
Parents of students in 2nd grade or older who wish to celebrate these
Sacraments for the first time work with the Faith Formation Director.
Parents are asked to go through special sacramental material with their child
at home. The material presented in religion classes in school or Faith
Formation classes is meant to reinforce and compliment what the parents have
begun at home. Parents and children attend an Orientation Session, and come to
a Parent/Child retreat for each sacrament. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is
celebrated in December and the Sacrament of the Eucharist is celebrated in
April or May.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM - CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation into the Faith Community. In 9th
grade our students go through the Catechism and review basic Catholic doctrine
and prayers. In 10th grade, our students take part in an
experiential learning program meant to help them discover their gifts and
talents and develop their own unique spirituality. Students do 15 hours of
service, and attend a mandatory retreat as part of the Confirmation
requirements.

VOLUNTEER CATECHISTS
Volunteers for teaching, being a classroom aide, hall monitoring, cross walk
guard, and office staff are a yearly need in the Faith Formation Program. There
is a tuition reduction program for all volunteers to the program. Catechists
can also receive enrichment sessions toward certification as well as specific
training for the grade level taught. Please let us know if you are interested.
